The first premium electric vehicle made in India by Mercedes is called the EQS 580.

Nitin Gadkari, a minister for the Union, unveiled the product on Friday. It is built in the business' Chakan facility, which is close to Pune and has a starting price of Rs. 1.55 crore (ex-showroom).

He had a look inside the cutting-edge building, which is now home to India's first premium EV.

The EQS 580 is the first domestically built (assembled) EV in India, and the firm claims it is the 14th Mercedes-Benz vehicle to be "Made in India."

According to the Automotive Research Association of India, the EQS has India's longest-range EV, with a range of up to 677 km (under real-world circumstances) and 857 km (test conditions)
